Alexander Zverev says he is expecting a ‘great week’ in Turin after securing his place at the 2021 ATP Finals.
Zverev has won the event once before and will be among the favourites to win again when the tournament moves from London to Turin this year.
And, although Zverev admits he had a special connection with the O2 Arena, he says he is looking forward to tasting the event at it’s new home.
“[It will be] my first time in Turin,” Zverev said of the upcoming ATP Finals.
“I’ve been to London four times before. London is obviously very special to me because I won there, as well. I think the stadium is incredible, one of the most special events that we had.
“But I also love playing in Italy. I had great success in Italy. I won my first Masters in Rome.
“I’m looking forward to being there. I’m looking forward to playing in front of the Italian fans. It’s going to be a great week.”
The 2018 champion returns.

Zverev beat American youngster Jenson Brooksby in three sets on Sunday to advance into the third round of Indian Wells.
He will face former world number one Andy Murray next, who got the best of Carlos Alcaraz.
