Dan Evans believes Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev are currently 'ahead of the others' in terms of the chasing pack.
Novak Djokovic has underlined his current dominance of the men's game this year by winning both Grand Slams so far, and he will be the man to beat again at Wimbledon.
However, Tsitsipas and Zverev have both reached their first major finals inside the last 10 months, and are both starting to show some genuine authority and consistency at the biggest events.
And, according to British number one Evans, he thinks they are currently the players that Djokovic needs to worry about.
“I’ve played Stefanos Tsitsipas a few times and in my opinion, he is closest to being the next guy who will take the mantle," Dan Evans said ahead of Wimbledon
"If he came to the net a bit more that would be him complete. His forehand and backhand are so good.”
“Alexander Zverev has got the attitude, he thinks he’s mustard and that’s a big thing. Those two are a bit ahead of the others, in my opinion."
Tsitsipas and Zverev are the third and fourth seeds respectively at Wimbledon.
