Emma Raducanu could face her idol Simona Halep at Indian Wells after they were drawn in the same quarter.
Raducanu stunned everyone when she won the US Open last month, becoming the first qualifier to ever win a major.
Things are very different at Indian Wells, where she is seeded 17th and gets a bye in the first round.
However, things could get tough for her pretty quickly in California. Halep likely awaits in round three, and even if she gets though that Victoria Azarenka or Petra Kvitova may be her fourth round opponent. Even then, Elina Svitolina is a potential quarter-final foe.
Top seed Karolina Pliskova is in the same quarter of the draw as Maria Sakkari and 2019 champion Bianca Andreescu, meaning she could have a tough path into the semis.
Her fellow Czech Barbora Krejcikova is in the same half as the draw, with Coco Gauff, Angelique Kerber, and Garbine Muguruza likely to provide the toughest opposition in her section.

Belinda Bencic and Iga Swiatek headline the bottom quarter of the draw along with US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez.
Indian Wells was not played in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, and it has been delayed from its usual March slot in the schedule this year too.
