Jannik Sinner says he knows how well Novak Djokovic is playing, but he is up for the challenge of taking him on at Wimbledon.

Sinner will face Djokovic in the quarterfinals on Tuesday after he beat fellow exciting youngster Carlos Alcaraz in the fourth round.

Djokovic, meanwhile, has won the last three Wimbledon titles and is on a 25-match winning streak on Centre Court, so Sinner knows the size of the task ahead of him.

Asked about his upcoming match against Novak Djokovic, Sinner said: "It's going to be a tough match, of course.

"I mean, he's playing very, very good. I will try my best. That's the minimum I can do. Just enjoy every moment out there, which I've done today.

"It was a very special feeling to go on Centre Court. So, yeah, let's see in the next round what's going to happen.

"But, yeah, I think I can be happy today and trying to recover in the best possible way for the next match.

However, he said he always trusted that his level would hold and help him see out the match.

"I just tried to stay in the present moment," Sinner explained. "I mean, I had chances in the third. I didn't use them.

"But still, as I said before, the level was high. I tried just don't to drop my level. I think I was struggling a little bit in the fourth in the beginning, so I tried to serve well.

"Yeah, I mean, I'm happy to close it out in four sets today."
