'Lorenzo Musetti has everything,' says Stefanos Tsitsipas after tight Lyon contest

Lorenzo Musetti in Acapulco

Stefanos Tsitsipas believes Lorenzo Musetti 'has everything' to make it to the top of tennis after beating him in Lyon.

Musetti, 19, is one of the top teenagers in men's tennis and he is widely tipped to achieve something special in the years ahead.

He has already started making in-roads in that regard, and he will have a career-high ranking of 76 next week after getting to the Lyon semi-finals.

Tstsipas had to go through the gears in order to prevent the Italian from going even further, but after his 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 win he was full of praise for Musetti.

“He has a lot of potential and he has proved himself multiple times before,” Tsitsipas said of Musetti.

“He’s definitely a competitor that I will take seriously and a player that will be challenging me in the next couple of years.

"I see him at the top. I see no reason he won’t be there.

“But that also will have to do a lot with his mentality and the way he approaches his tennis and how much he works hard to get to the top of the game.

"I see no reason that he won’t be a good player. He has everything.”
