Australian cricket legend Ian Healy has taken a swipe at compatriot Nick Kyrgios over his repeated attacks on world number one Novak Djokovic.
Kyrgios has been a regular critic of Djokovic in the last few months, first targeting him over the Adria Tour and then recently again following the Serbian’s attempts to help players in hard quarantine ahead of the Australian Open.
Djokovic has responded to the barrage, although only really to defend himself before attempting to draw a line under it.
However, Kyrgios’ attacks have continued, and Healy says there is actual ‘shame’ in what he’s doing given the pair’s comparative levels of success.
“Having a crack without credibility.”

“Someone wrote in the paper today, about Djokovic and Kyrgios – calling them fierce rivals,” Healy said on 1170 SEN Sydney.
“They’re not fierce rivals. They might be personal rivals, but if Kyrgios thinks he’s in a professional rivalry with Djokovic he has another thing coming.
“Fierce rivals? Djokovic shouldn’t even know Kyrgios’ name at the moment.
“That’s the shame of it, that Kyrgios is having a crack without credibility.”
