Novak Djokovic confirms schedule for remainder of season with three tournaments planned

Novak Djokovic has confirmed he will play three more tournaments this season as he prepares to return to the ATP Tour.

Djokovic has not played since losing to Daniil Medvedev in the US Open final – a defeat that cost him what would have been a historic calendar Grand Slam.

However, there is still history to play for, with Djokovic able to secure a record seventh year-end world number one and a record-equalling sixth ATP Finals title.

With that in mind, Djokovic has cemented his schedule for the rest of what has been a breath-taking season for the Serb.

“For now I’m planning to play Paris, the Nitto ATP Finals and Davis Cup Finals,” Djokovic told Blic.

“That’s my schedule for the rest of the season. I should stay in Belgrade until the end of the week, then the week before Paris I will leave Serbia so I could fully commit to training and preparation.

“For now, I will for sure stay in Belgrade until the end of the week because my kids go to school here and Stefan has a birthday in a few weeks, so we are planning to celebrate it with the family.”
