‘Novak Djokovic has no weaknesses,’ admits Roland Garros opponent ahead of third round clash

Daniel Galan says Novak Djokovic ‘has no weaknesses’ as the pair prepare to meet in the third round of Roland Garros on Saturday.

The Colombian only made it into the main draw by virtue of being a lucky loser from qualifying.

And, while he admires Djokovic greatly, he says he has to believe he is at least beatable.

“Novak Djokovic has no weaknesses, although I am not saying that he is invincible, otherwise he would never have lost a match,” said Galan.

This week has seen Galan’s only ever two wins at Grand Slam level have come this week, so it’s understandable Djokovic isn’t too sure what to expect.

COLUMN: Novak Djokovic deserves to be defined by his achievements, not his accidents

“I don’t know much about him, to be honest,” said Djokovic of Galan.

“I have never seen him play, so I’ll have to obviously look at his matches, the videos, and try to prepare myself with my team.

“I know he played qualifications here, so he’s got quite a lot of matches already in these conditions, which definitely helps.”

If Djokovic can win the French Open, he will become the only man in history to win every Grand Slam twice, as well as closing to within just two of Roger Federer’s all-time record.
