'I live tennis with my heart, body, and soul,' says Novak Djokovic after reaching Wimbledon semis

Novak Djokovic hand on heart Wimbledon

Novak Djokovic says he lives tennis with his 'heart, body, and soul' after he beat Marton Fucsovics in the quarter-finals.

Djokovic has already won the Australian Open and the French Open this year, and he can draw level with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal on 20 career major titles if he can win Wimbledon this week.

It would also leave him in a great position to make a clean sweep of the Grand Slams this year.

“I’m aware of certain stats," Novak Djokovic said referring to the opportunity to win a calendar or golden slam.

"I live this sport with my heart, body and soul, I have been devoted since I was four-years-old.

"I try to live in the moment, take nothing for granted, I’m going for history and lets keep it going.

Djokovic will now play a 10th Wimbledon semi-final against Denis Shapovalov, and he was understandably happy with his performance.

“It was a solid performance, I started extremely well and closed out the opening set 6-3.

"In the next two sets one break of serve was enough. Credit to Marton for fighting, he had a great tournament.

“I have to win my semi-final. Shapovalov made some big wins."
