Marion Bartoli believes Roger Federer will 'of course' win another Grand Slam, and she believes Wimbledon is his best chance.
Federer has missed the whole 2020 season other than the Australian Open, where he reached the semi-finals.
Since then double knee surgery has put paid to his chances, but he is expecting to be back again in Melbourne in January.
In his absence, Rafael Nadal has drawn level with him on 20 Grand Slam titles, but Bartoli thinks Federer may not be done yet.
"Will Roger Federer win another Grand Slam title? Yes, of course," Bartoli said, before explaining why it's important Federer resists the temptation to skip much tennis next year.
"I think it is better he has a four to five month warm-up before he arrives at Wimbledon.
"I think if he arrives at SW 19 without any matches for 9 months and if Wimbledon is his first Slam of the year, he might be too rusty."
Federer's age is obviously an obstacle at 39, but Bartoli says grass court tennis will negate that disadvantage.
"He doesn't have to use too much of his fitness on the grass due to the nature of his game.
"He can serve and volley, come to the net and use that slice wisely.
"If Roger Federer is able to build up some momentum and confidence, he can win it. He was so close against Novak last time."
