Rafael Nadal says he is 'tired of talking about his body' after he was asked about strapping on his abdomen during his Wimbledon win on Monday.

Nadal arrived at Wimbledon with a well-documented foot problem which needed painkilling injections at Roland Garros.

He seems to be managing that problem for now, but he has been playing with strapping on his stomach, and it appeared heavier than usual in his round of 16 win over Botic van de Zandschulp.

When asked about the strapping on his abdomen, Nadal said: "I am a little bit tired to talk about my body.

"It's not about that I don't want to answer your question, but in the same time sometimes I am tired about myself, all the issues that I am having.

"I prefer to not talk about that now. Sorry for that. But I am in the middle of the tournament and I have to keep going, no?

"All respect for the rest of the opponents. I am just trying my best every single day. For the moment I am healthy enough to keep going and fight for the things that I want.

Rafael Nadal was in dominant mood against Botic van de Zandschulp in a match that looked, on paper at least, that it could be a very tricky one.

It proved less so on the grass itself, but much of that was down to Nadal's seemingly ever-improving form in the tournament.

"Yeah, have been a good match in general terms against a difficult player," he said. "I think a very good player.

"I was 6-4, 6-2, 5-2. This result says that I was playing, doing a lot of things very well. Yeah, happy for that.

"Is true that at the end I played a bad game with the 5-3, then you are in trouble, no? 90% of the match I think I played well."

Nadal will now face American Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinals. Fritz beat him in the final of Indian Wells earlier this year to win his first Masters event, although Nadal was playing with a broken rib too.
